This is one of the views I see frequently while walking in my canyon neighborhood.  It was synchronous timing to see the distant mountains lit in orange.  It reminded me of my favorite natural light, a low sun striking the landscape with a dark approaching storm in the background.  One cool thing about art is that thing they call license – I imposed the stormy sky into the observed scene my own gratification!
